Your matching sofas don’t need to be ultra-long to get the job done. And don’t hesitate to add pops of color with vibrant pillows. If your space isn’t ideal for the placement of sofas across from one another, try arranging seating in a perpendicular formation, as shown in the next image.
The way you design your rooms makes the house a dungeon or a comfortable place to live in. Designers Tim Clarke and Tamara Magel share some fantastic ideas to freshen up a small room without forfeiting its style.
You can throw in knick knacks made of silver, brass or wrought iron on the shelves and on window sills. Plus, wooden side tables as well as opulently done coffee tables would look nice. Remember, we once had those tables and sofas that rested on carved and bent legs? Try and bring in some extra bit of old world back to your living room, if you can.
Both the sofa and the trunk look cool and fun, adding a tinge of color to any home decor. But the question is, are you going to be just as excited when the Olympics games are over? For hose who do not like having those flashy colors, light hued silk and velvet drapes are available in stores. Imagine transforming your living room into a comfy little den complete with furniture that sports motifs and scroll work. And, a quick work at polishing them would do wonders.
There are so many things we could learn from this room. Probably, first of them is that you are allowed to play with color definitely love the color combination in here. The white, black and rusty shades are amazing and a combination of them may work well on your living room, too.
There isn’t any doubt about the fact that the old world living rooms ooze ultimate charm. Traditional stuff bring in a classic touch to your home’s interiors. Try bringing back the traditional sofas made out of teak, walnut or mahogany, and you will know what it means to recline in those royal seats.
Next, select furniture that is comfortable enough for an afternoon nap, but elegant enough for hosting company. Be sure there is plenty of seating and, if possible, arrange all furniture so those seated in the living room will have a clear view of each other and the entertainment center if one exists.
You can also add to the traditional lure by choosing different bold hues for your living room walls. But when you do that, make sure the colors stand well with your taste and that of the visitors too.
